Stahlton Engineered Concrete is a specialist manufacturer of prestressed and precast concrete products. The company, which is based in New Zealand, was established in the 1960’s trading under the name Stahlton.
In 2001 Fulton Hogan Ltd purchased Stahlton to compliment their civil operation in the Auckland region.
Early in 2007 Stahlton purchased the Pre-Cast Components (PCC) plants in Otaki and Hamilton. PCC was a well established precast and prestressed concrete manufacturer and was a welcome addition to Stahlton giving a good presence in the North Island market place.
Later in 2007 five Stresscrete plants were purchased. The plants included Cromwell, Christchurch, Bulls, New Plymouth and Tauranga. With the purchase of the Stresscrete plants came a wealth of experience personnel and technical knowledge.
Later in 2007 the two existing Fulton Hogan plants in Dunedin and Balclutha were transferred under the Stahlton banner. With the addition of these two plants Stahlton firmed up supply to the South Island of New Zealand.
As Stahlton grew to become the major prestress and precast supplier in New Zealand through acquisition of other well established companies it was decided to unite the company under the new name Stahlton Engineered Concrete.
